02-TRAINING AND PREPAREDNESS

ACT Trained Security Officers

All SLFM security officers are SIA licensed and receive up-to-date Action Counters Terrorism (ACT) training, including ACT Awareness and ACT Security.

ACT training helps our security professionals maintain current counter-terrorism knowledge and develop the awareness needed to recognise potential threats and respond appropriately to incidents. This supports our commitment to ensuring officers remain prepared, informed and confident while carrying out their responsibilities.

Successful ISO 9001 Assessment Achievement

Earlier this year, the company successfully completed its ISO 9001 Quality Management System assessment. This is a significant achievement and demonstrates our commitment to delivering consistent, high-quality services, continual improvement, customer satisfaction, and robust operational controls.

This success would not have been possible without the professionalism and support shown by our management team, supervisors, and frontline officers. Thank you to everyone who contributed to the assessment process and who continues to uphold the standards required by the management system.

First SIA ACS Assessment Scheduled for October

We are pleased to announce that our first Security Industry Authority (SIA) Approved Contractor Scheme (ACS) assessment is scheduled to take place during October.

The ACS is recognised as the private security industry’s hallmark of quality and excellence. Achieving and maintaining ACS status demonstrates that we operate above the minimum licensing requirements and are committed to best practice across all areas of our business.

In preparation for the assessment, employees may be asked to assist with:

  • Personnel records and screening evidence
  • Training records
  • Assignment instructions
  • Site risk assessments
  • Incident reporting procedures
  • Customer feedback and service improvement activities
  • Please ensure that your SIA licence is visible at all times and that your company ID is available.

04-Security Update

Current UK Threat Level

UK NATIONAL TERRORISM THREAT LEVEL SEVERE

The current UK National Terrorism Threat Level remains SEVERE, meaning an attack is considered highly likely. The threat level is determined by the Joint Terrorism Analysis Centre (JTAC) and is reviewed regularly by the Security Service (MI5).

As security professionals, we should remain vigilant at all times:

  • Challenge suspicious behaviour where appropriate.
  • Be alert to unattended items and unusual activity.
  • Follow site escalation procedures.
  • Report concerns immediately through company and client reporting channels.
  • Remember that vigilance remains one of the strongest tools available to protect people and property.

Emergency Service

If there is an immediate threat to life or public safety, contact emergency services on 999.
